Atlanta Shooting Ranges

Atlanta is the biggest city in Georgia, and thus there are enough Atlanta shooting ranges to match its size.

Some are membership only gun clubs; this is not normally a problem, it just means you have to call ahead of time and confirm if nonmembers are allowed to use the facility and if so what the procedure is. Otherwise, they're always accepting new members.

There are also indoor shooting ranges in Atlanta in the city itself, and are best for pistol, revolver, and other handgun shooting. They're great for all weather conditions, and automated target carriers are very convenient. Conversely, outdoor ranges are best when you want to shoot rifle or shotgun, and allow for interesting things like Cowboy Action Shooting, non-standard targets, and other activities.

Make sure to always call ahead and confirm range time and availability. Also make sure to confirm any range rules and regulations before you go; no sense in bringing your own ammunition if a range requires you to buy theirs, for example, and if they don't sell ammo, you definitely need to bring your own!
